Brief project description

To celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn a grant was given for key features to be installed along the Borestone Heritage Trail including an Interpretation Board and Waymark Stickers where the trail led into Carron Valley Community Council territory.  The trail takes its name from the spot where Robert the Bruce is said to have raised his standard at the Battle of Bannockburn.

Anticipated results

Beyond educating about local history and the natural environment, the trail provides an outdoor activity to help promote a more active lifestyle and improve health and wellbeing.
