The Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston Community Company was established by the Community Council in 2007 as the approved body to receive & distribute community benefit to the Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston area as mandated by the Community.
In 2010, the Company took ownership & management of the village hall, built the extension and put solar panels on the roof to reduce the heating bills.
In 2013, Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston Community Company launched an apprenticeship scheme in conjunction with Glengarry Trust & Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust.
Since 2014, Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston Community Company has also been involved in running the community caretakers for both villages, Fort Augustus & Invermoriston as well as looking after the cemeteries.
The Company employes 3 staff all year and 1 seasonal staff member.
