On the occasion of the second edition of the Italian Sustainabilty Day, held on July 2 at the Italian Stock Exchange in Milan, Falck Renewables talked for the first time about its sustainability approach.
The Italian Sustainabilty Day has been promoted by the London Stock Exchange Group with the support of the Italian Sustainable Investment Forum, the Principles for Responsible Investments, and the Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiatives.
During the one-day conference, formative sessions have dealt with very current topics related to economic growth and sustainable investments.
Toni Volpe, Falck Renewables’ CEO, has underlined the importance of generating added value for local communities within the Group’s sustainability strategy: “it’s not only important what we do, but how we do it and the values that we hold for the communities based where the wind and solar plants operate. We’ve been trying for long to create added value programs for the local communities. We’ve started in Scotland, through communities participation schemes for wind farm investments and through ‘benefit funds’ dedicated to the implementation of projects having a social impact for the local communities.”
