South Carrick Community Leisure

Brief project description

South Carrick Community Leisure is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation established in 2011 to build and operate a new leisure center, named the Quay Zone. The project opened in April 2017 and receives annual payments from Falck Renewables Assel Valley fund of approximately £33,000 towards its everyday operating costs.

Anticipated results of the project

The Quay Zone has become the heart of the local community, offering swimming lessons to almost 300 local children, gym and fitness classes to around 500 members and leisure activities and a café to the 100,000 visitors who come through its doors every year.
