Near Strathaven in South Lanarkshire, Auchrobert Wind Farm has 12 wind turbines. Funding from the wind farm is shared between Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill Coordination Group, Boghead Community Group and Thornton Road Community Centre Association. A contribution is also paid to the South Lanarkshire Council Renewable Energy Fund.
