We were delighted to read all about the Valley Renewables Group’s (VRG) Wood Fuel Days in their latest update. These events are part of VRG’s initiative to fight fuel poverty by increasing access to locally grown firewood and this initiative was awarded funding from our Call for Projects 2022. With the £8,000 they received, VRG bought tarpaulins to protect timber stacks from the elements and a commercial firewood processor which speeds up the production of logs. In its February Wood Fuel Day, the group distributed 39 loads of firewood to the local community.
