What made you want to study renewable energy?
I wanted to learn more about the energy sector which underpins every aspect of our human society, and understand better the teams and projects who are already performing incredible work in decarbonising this massive industry. I was lucky to discover this MSc programme which offers an overview of the latest renewable energy technology, at both the commercial and experimental level, and explores its potential and challenges through both academic and real-world analysis of the environmental, societal, and economic costs and impacts.
How did the financial support from Renantis help your studies?
The student scheme really helped me in a direct practical way. The financial support went toward a laptop so I could finally run the data analysis software I needed for my exams. It is also giving me confidence as I approach my research dissertation stage, knowing that I have the right tool for the job.

What are your career plans for the future?
I was a project manager in my last career so I hope to be able to merge that with my new training in net-zero policies and technologies, and hopefully work directly with rural communities in assisting their just transition.
